Hollowback technology, used in climbing holds, is a design method where the back of a large hold is hollowed out.
Instead of a heavy and rigid polyurethane or resin block, this holds has a thin outer shell reinforced with internal structural ribs or lateral supports.
How it Works;
• Shell Design: The front of the shell looks normal, but the back is completely open or hollowed out.
• Internal Supports: Thin material protrusions inside the hollow prevent the hole from bending or cracking under pressure. We create a specially developed spiderweb structure here.
• Material Savings: Less raw plastic or resin is used per piece during casting.
